About Us

Kirstin Cross is a qualified Remedial Massage therapist, establishing Me Time Therapy in 2016.

During a particularly difficult time, Kirstin found massage as her only time to release both physically and mentally. This inspired her to learn the same techniques to help others, starting with friends and family then completing a Diploma in Remedial Massage and transitioning into a career in massage.

Through Kirstin’s journey she discovered the importance of placing intention. We are attracted to positive energy. She focuses daily on cleansing the negative to make room for the positive to flow into her life and this intent carries through to clients, enhancing their treatment and connecting the mental intent to relax and heal their bodies.

When she’s not massaging, Kirstin can be found volunteering at the Belgrave Fire Brigade, cycling (on the flat bits), gardening and enjoying a creative life.

How it works

A lot of us are struggling with the pressure of the changing environment we live in. Over a period of time this wears on our minds and bodies.

Remedial massage focuses on healing muscles, tendons and bones. Muscles tighten for many reasons whether it's from sport or our bodies being in a state of constant fight or flight with today's increasing life pressures.

Kirstin starts her treatments by warming up the muscles, encouraging serotonin, cortisol and dopamine through your body helping your muscles to relax before focusing on your problem areas.

You will experience a deep, strong and focussed massage which Kirstin talks you through step by step.  Soft strokes, mobilisation of joints and other techniques may also be very effective to heal the area of concern.

  • Fascia is the connective tissue which holds our bodies in place - every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve and muscle. Through stress and injury this tissue can tighten and cause pain, from dull aches to incredible pain.

Starting from the feet, working up through the legs, back and head, we can loosen off the fascia in a gentle way and find the problem areas. You may have tight fascia in your feet which runs all the way up to your head and pulls, causing pain throughout your body. Everything is connected.

Working through your shoulder muscles which lay on top of your shoulder blade and underneath, we can loosen one of the biggest problem areas of tension, in between your shoulders and up through your neck.
